Melanoma March Rockingham will take place in the early evening on Saturday 27th February, 2016. This event is easy and great for the whole family. Taking part is not only good for your health, but you're also fundraising and raising awareness for Australia's national cancer, melanoma. You and your family are encouraged to take part as Australia unites to fight this devastating disease.

Melanoma March Rockingham will start within Churchill Park before participants head north along the Rockingham foreshore. Melanoma Marchers will complete a 4km loop before returning to Churchill Park to enjoy light refreshments and entertainment, suitable for the whole family.

Churchill Park is Rockingham's foreshore area which consists of picnic areas, playgrounds and shady trees. From the shade of the beautiful pine trees, you can indulge in the magnificent views across the water to Garden Island and the naval base.

melanomaWA are delighted to again be joining forces with Melanoma Institute Australia for Melanoma March 2015. melanomaWA is a not-for-profit charity organisation established by Clinton Heal. Clinton and his team at melanomaWA commit their time and efforts to education and raising awareness of melanoma in the community, as well as supporting those who have been touched by melanoma throughout Western Australia.

Getting there:

Street parking is available in Railway Terrace, along Rockingham Beach Road and in the carpark adjacent to Thai by the Sea.

What to wear

We encourage all Melanoma Marchers to practice their sun safety while taking part in this event. Sunscreen will be available at all events, but we suggest that you apply your sunscreen before leaving home. Participants are also encouraged to dress appropriately with sun-safe clothing, hats and sunglasses and remember your comfortable shoes.

CAN YOU HELP?

As a not-for-profit organisation, these events are all run by volunteers. All profits go directly toward funding research projects of national importance. If you or your business has the capacity to help with the organisation of the event (printing flyers, sharing on social media, loaning pop-up marquees to the organisers etc.) it would be greatly appreciated. Please email us if you want to make a difference.
