This early morning walk is easy and great for the whole family. Taking part is not only good for your health, but you can also fundraise and raise awareness for Australia's national cancer! You're encouraged to take part as Australia unites to fight this devastating disease. Join Melanoma Institute Australia and their dedicated volunteer committee as we march in memory of those who have sadly lost their lives to melanoma and to honour those continuing to fight this terrible disease.

Picton will be hosting their second annual Melanoma March in the picturesque Picton Botanical Gardens. The event starts at 7.30am with the 5km walk commencing at 9.00am.

The hosts of this event Jennifer Skuja and Jay Allen are dedicated supporters of Melanoma Institute Australia, hoping to raise funds and awareness to help change the outcome and quality of life of people living with melanoma. Jennifer, Jay along with their families and the team at Melanoma Institute Australia encourage you to get involved and fundraise to one day find a cure for melanoma!

Getting there

Located minutes from the town centre of Picton, Picton Botanical Gardens is accessible by car, with street parking available around the gardens. The organisers of Melanoma March Picton ask that you be mindful of surrounding residents when arriving at the event. For public transport information please visit Transport NSW.

What to wear

We encourage all Melanoma Marches to practice their sun safety while taking part in this event. Sunscreen will be available at all events, but we suggest that you apply your sunscreen before leaving home. Participants are also encouraged to dress appropriately with sun-safe clothing, hats and sunglasses and remember your comfortable shoes.

Can you help?

As a not-for-profit organisation, these events are all run by volunteers. All profits go directly toward funding research projects at Melanoma Institute Australia. If you or your business has the capacity to help with the organisation of the event (printing flyers, sharing on social media, loaning pop-up marquees to the organisers etc) it would be greatly appreciated. Please email us if you feel you can help.
