Hey everyone!!!

For reasons that are WAY beyond our control, Melanoma has now become a huge part of our lives, and for some of us in this group it is not the first time it has touched us in a personal way. This cancer, the fourth most common cancer in Australia due to our love of all things outdoors, has almost become synonymous with our culture and that in itself is a real cause for concern with 1 in 14 of us statistically going to be diagnosed with it at some stage in our lives. It is estimated that close to 13,000 people were diagnosed with Melanoma in 2015, and while the current stats are that around 90% of people will live for 5 years or longer after their diagnosis, I am sure their preference (and ours) is that they not only live longer, but have the chance to BEAT this cancer into SUBMISSION!!!

That, my friends, is why we are doing this. This is our way of doing something small to rid melanoma from those we care about and everyone else that is diagnosed. So please help if you can - your donations are truly appreciated and every dollar helps get that little bit closer.
